Drum set help! Whats a great professional kit?

I've been playing for a while with a sound percussion kit. ( I like the sound very much still, the heads make it sound good), but I want a professional high end drum kit. The drum kit itself I have 2000 to 2500 to spend on it. Ive been looking at a Mapex Saturn kit. I want maple shells, something good for rock, hard rock, punk, metal, and I guess pop. A kit that just feels good and has a melodious sound.
Also, any suggestions on cymbals, I'm thinking either paistes, meinls, or sabians.
