Frequently Asked Questions...
CB vs Pearl Drum Set, which should i buy?
Need some advice I'm buying my first kit:
for 450 off someone i know:
5 toms all with new skins top and bottom + snare+ kick and has the kick peddle and a drum throne and doesn't come with any symbols or hardware for the symbols (it does come with the highhat symbols though)
or
600 for:
a pearl set off the internet...this guys is a 40 minute drive away so that also is a factor.
Drumkit (condition 9/10):
- Snare drum
- 13" rack tom
- 14" rack tom
- 16" floor tom
- 22" bass drum
*All skins are brand new (just replaced all of them)
Cymbals (condition 7/10 - no cracks or keyholing... just the 14" crash is really dirty and needs cymbal cleaner which I don't have)
- 14" Sabian crash cymbal
- 21" Sabian ride cymbal
- 14" Sabian hi-hats
Hardware and Accessories:
- Pearl and Tama hardware (stands, rack) (Condition 7/10)
- Tama drum seat (brand new) (Condition 10/10)
- Drum and Cymbal Muting Pads (brand new) (Condition 10/10)
which do you recomend
Answer:
that second option is a very good deal. pearl makes a solid drum set. plus, with the first set, you will need to buy hardware, and you will find out very soon that hardware is EXPENSIVE! if you can get everything you need with a cheap deal, def go for it. also, sabian makes a solid set of cymbals.
