Guitar Hero 5 - Extended Hours Of Entertainment For Wii Rockstars
Guitar Hero 5 is the latest in the Guitar Hero series of games and definitely appears to be the best Guitar Hero game to date. The Guitar Hero 5 Bundle comes complete with a microphone and guitar controller while the Guitar Hero 5 Super Bundle includes a microphone, guitar and drums so that you can start jamming straight away.
Although Guitar Hero 5 features a combination of old school and new school rock anthems, most of the songs are geared towards more modern music. This doesn't mean Guitar Hero 5 is only for the younger generation. Guitar Hero 5 includes some songs that everyone will be able to relate to which ensures the whole family can have some fun rocking away. You will be able to rock with songs from The Rolling Stones, The White Stripes, Bob Dylan, Muse, Tom Petty and many more with a total of 85 great tracks available.
Guitar Hero 5 now allows Rockers (for the first time) to fully customize the make up of their band. You decide whether the band consists of:
- 3 Guitarist and singer or
- 2 Guitarist, a drummer and a singer or
- 2 Guitarists and 2 drummers etc.
You can Rock with any combination that you prefer.
Game modes available in Guitar Hero 5 are Career Mode, Perfectionist, Rock-fest, Elimination, Do-or-Die, Streakers, Pro Face Off and Party Play which is great fun for parties or family get togethers. Further Features Include:
- Maximum of 4 players local or 8 players online (online requires wireless Internet access)
- GHStudio which allows you to create your own tracks without too much difficulty
- GHJam which is basically a two player version of GHstudio
- GHTunes allows you to upload or download user created songs
- Character Creator allowing you to create your own Rock Star
Possible drawbacks are that the graphics aren’t great and the characters a bit stiff. The characters are however livelier with various engaging environments and the graphics the best it has ever been. The negative comments does not change the fact that in the Guitar Hero franchise this game is probably the best version to date.
